The Data Viewer lets learners
visualise the data (that most often will come from experiments). Data
can be visualized in different ways, e.g., as a bar chart, scatter plot,
or line chart. As a teacher you configure the source of the data set.
Apps are dedicated software tools that help students in their inquiry learning tasks and help students to create hypotheses, design experiments, make predictions, formulate interpretations of the data, etc. Other learning apps present students, for example, with a quiz or allow students to view online teacher feedback. Learning Analytics apps give teachers an overview of students’ progress in the ILS.
This page presents only a few of the 54 Apps created during Go-Lab and Next-Lab projects with deactivated filters.

The Data Entry tool lets learners
enter results in a table. As a teacher you can define the columns of
the table or leave that up to the learners. The learners can then use
the Data Viewer to visualize the results.
This Padlet app allows students to
use a Padlet Wall in an inquiry space. A Padlet wall is a collaborative
whiteboard where students can write, add pictures and organise content
easily. The teacher can specify a Padlet wall that will be used by all
students.
The input box is a simple app where
the learner can take notes. In Graasp, it can show an overview of the
input of all students to the teacher.
This app can be used by the students
to view a timeline of their activities and compare it with that of other
students. It displays the times during which the students were active in
the different phases and apps of the ILS. The names of the other
students are anonymous.
This app displays a table with the
time spent by all the students in each phase of an Inquiry Learning
Space. The time spent is updated in real time. This app also has a
student view where the names of the other students are anonymous.
The time spent app intends to let the
student reflect on the time spent in the various phases of the ILS. The
teacher can set a norm (as a percentage or in minutes) for each phase.
The app shows both the teacher norm and the actual time spent in the
phases as a bar chart.
The time planner app lets students
estimate the time they will spend in the various phases of an ILS.
In the time checker app, students can
compare their actual time spending in the different phases of an ILS
with their own initial planning of this (as given in the Time planner
app).
The speech bubble shows a
configurable instruction text inside a bubble "spoken" by an avatar.
This is an alternative to directly showing the instruction text in an
ILS.
